Starfall is a great free website to help children to read using phonics. It is great to use within the classroom at a preschool, kindergarten, lower primary and special education. This website makes learning phonics enjoyable for students as they can spell words, hear sounds. Thus catering for different types of learning needs; visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners.
This is a great website to use on the interactive whiteboard in front of the whole class, or on individual computers to cater for each individuals child's learning needs. I would also use this for early finishes in the classroom or if there was any spare time at the end of the day.

Maths Is Fun
Maths Is Fun is a fantastic website to help explain maths concepts. You can select from a variety of different concepts which will take you to a page of activities, these will either be information sheets which describe concept further, online games, or worksheets to further develop the concept. It also includes a maths dictionary which defines mathematical terms. This can be extremely helpful for students when learning a new concept or revising for a test.

National Geographic's for Kids
This is a fantastic, information filled website that is great for kids to jump on and have a play on. It has all different types of games, in all different genres. There is also videos, photos, information about pets and a fun stuff tab. The countries tab is a great resource for students to learn more about the different countries of the world. I would use this tab and the information during geography as a starting point for students. When you click on a country it contains valuable information about that country, including facts, videos, maps and even ecards that can be emailed. This would be a great site for early finishes as it is full of fantastic information.
Storybird
This site is an amazing site which allow students to create a digital story book. Digital story telling helps children develop many multimedia literacy skills as it gives them a different voice for portraying their story. This is a fun, free and simple site to use. This could be used to portray students creative writing skills through digital means. This site allows students to use and create through using Information and Communication Technologies in a meaningful manner. As this site provides different pictures it provides a visual stimulus through which students can use for creative writing.
Wordle
Wordle is a website that can be used to create 'word clouds' of the text provided. It makes words that are entered multiple times larger and words only entered a few times smaller. This is a great way to make visual lists of words more appealing and even more interactive for students, as they can create their own. This would be beneficial to meeting different learning requirements as it is creates an exciting visual aid. The font, sizes and picture the words created can all be varied, thus students can personalise it and make it their own. These can then be printed, added to a website and emailed.
Mathletics
This is a great website where students can practice their mathematics skills and concepts online. Mathletics is a great site for students to use from home and gain extra practice on Maths questions. It also has a Mathletics Live function which allows students to challenge other Mathletics users across the world to maths competitions about who can correctly solve the problem the quickest. Teachers can also assign a designated set of questions or concepts through which they wish students to practice.
Bubbl.us
Bubbl.us is an amazing website which allows people to create brainstorming web's online. This would be great tool to use when doing group work brainstorming for a specific topic. It is a simple website where you put the main topic in the middle and then add all of the brainstorming ideas around this. These can be printed or saved. The web's that are created are colourful and neat and allows students to use ICT for brainstorming, which helps engage students.
Certificate Street
This website contains templates for any certificate needed in the classroom. Whether it be sport, academic or special occasions, there are templates for each. Certificate street would be a valuable tool to use within the classroom as a rewards system at the end of the week. As the templates are already created this would help minimise time as you just fill in the blanks and print it out.
Prezi
Prezi is a great online presentation tool the students and teachers can use. This tool makes presenting information more visually appealing and is great to use as some students may not have access to Microsoft PowerPoint. This is also great as it is on the internet students do not have to worry about USB's, or loosing their USB's, as it is all stored on the World Wide Web.
Voki
Voki is a fantastic tool that can be added to classroom blogs or websites. This tool allows you to create a character and have the character speak. Voki's add another dimension to websites or blogs as it can add a greeting, instructions, or just entertainment for kids. This site is simple to use for students and teachers.
